Our client is looking for a Sr. Javascript (node.js) Rules Developer to support an Enterprise level integration project​.

Role Summary
As a Rules Developer, your daily work will consist of leveraging modern technologies, tools, and frameworks to develop high quality business and claims adjudication rules and improve user experience. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and architecture of our enterprise systems along with developing high quality, well tested, code that can be packaged and delivered to clients all over the world.
 Must Have's:
  • 5+ years of experience as a JavaScript Developer using Node.JS and JSON to develop rules.
  • Experience using TypeScript 
  • Experience with JavaScript test frameworks and TD
  • Post-secondary education in a software or design related program with equivalent development experience
Nice to Have's:
  • Ability to solve complex development problems and produce the highest quality code while striving to push the technical boundaries of online applications business rules
  • Familiarity with W3C web accessibility standards
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Public GitHub account with public projects available for review.
  • Responsible for the complete life cycle of Business and adjudication rules, from requirements and analysis to design and development.
  • Study data sources and data models and plan solutions before designing the rules;
  • Develop new application business and adjudication rules;
  • Design application rules, run and monitor their responsiveness;
  • Maintain existing and create new rules documentation;
  • Design and develop unit tests on new and existing rules for the purposes of regression testing, correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging;
  • Profile code in order to detect and fix locks and performance bottlenecks;
  • Assess rules change requests and issues;
  • Fix/upgrade rules code to address change requests and issues;
  • Determine, develop, and maintain internal technical documentation;
  • Identify and assist with development of best practices;
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices;
  • Participate in design and code peer reviews;
  • Maintain client satisfaction by meeting client priorities and service level agreement targets in a timely manner, and;
  • Support and maintain existing in-house applications for clients and develop enhancements to existing rules.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies through training, self-advancement, and collaboration with peers;
  • Working knowledge of Agile (Scrum) Software Development Process methodologies;
  • Understanding of back-end development technologies and frameworks would be an asset;
  • Experience in health care or claims processing business environment would be an asset;
  • Capable and eager to work under minimal direction in fast-paced energetic environment managing multiple priorities at once;
  • Capability of full remote work using MS Teams / Sharepoint / Office365 / VPN environment
