Sr. Product Control Manager to support the Product Control Business Unit for our Global Banking Client - 46931

Location: Downtown Toronto (2-3 Days In Office)
Length: 10 Months (Contract ends Feb 29th 2024)

MUST HAVE:
• Minimum of five-years experience in a financial management role in the financial services industry.
• Extensive experience on projects is required, preferred to be projects associated with system migration.
• Strong analytical skills pertaining to a wide variety of products and financial market instruments
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Access) including advanced spreadsheet and VBA skills.
• Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA), and CFA charterholder is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards specifically in Financial Instruments.
• Comfortable with the concepts of PnL explain, valuation adjustments, hedge accounting and financial control.

Job Description
We are looking for a talented individual to join Product Control team. This role will be accountable to project activities for Product Control, as well as supporting Product Control BAU as required.

Principle Accountabilities:
• Accountable to project activities for Product Control.
• Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications:
• Minimum of five-year experience in a financial management role in the financial services industry. Professional accounting designation (CA, CGA), and CFA charterholder is an asset.
• Extensive experience on projects is required, preferred to be projects associated with system migration.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards specifically in Financial Instruments.
• Strong analytical skills pertaining to a wide variety of products and financial market instruments; comfortable with the concepts of PnL explain, valuation adjustments, hedge accounting and financial control.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong technical accounting competence, proven analytical ability and knowledge of banking products and practices.
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with senior management, a self-motivator, able to use good judgment and exercise independent decision-making ability while contributing to a team environment.
• Good organizational skills, able to independently prioritize and coordinate reporting requirements/deadlines.
• Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Access) including advanced spreadsheet and VBA skills.
