Sr. Production Support Analyst to provide systems analysis for a wide variety of commodity products for a large Banking Client - 27509

Location Address: Hybrid (Twice a week) - Downtown Toronto
Contract Duration: 6 months depending on the start date (Possible Extension, Possible FTE)
Schedule Hours: 37.5hr/week

Business group: GWRT - Derivatives and Structured Product Technology
Project: Working with the commodities trading organization – BAU

Typical Day in Role
  • Support Energy Business applications.
  • Working with the ETRM systems (Energy Trading Risk Management)
  • Will also be working with other commodity responsibilities and project – as cycles are available
  • Will need to leverage database and SQL skills
  • Production support and ability to work with systems
  • work on Application deployment.
  • involve in Test environment maintenance.

Must Have Skills:
  1. 8+ years relevant hands-on experience as a Production support analyst or related field
    • recent commodities experince within capital markets
  2. Experience working with all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
  3. Experience working with Linux OR Solaris.
  4. Experience working with SQL queries/database OR Oracle. Oracle is preferred
  5. Experience working with shell Scripts/batch.

Nice-To-Have Skills:
  1. 2+ years’ experience with commodities (ideally 3-5 years) within Capital Markets
  2. FI or Banking experience is an asset
  3. Experience in monitoring tools like Dynatrace, splank
  4. Experience in Devops tools like Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana

Best vs Average:
- Looking for candidates with a commodities background. Good candidates will also have a background in systems analysis. Able to hit the ground running, learn new systems, and apply data experience.

Degrees or certifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a field such as computer science, computer engineering, commerce, or related field required

• Structure and Format: One round (about 1 hour) panel interview, videoconference with HM & team members
