Our valued Public Sector client requires a Senior Project Executive to join the PMO of a large Canadian Pensions Trusted Digital Repository Project.

Must Have:
- Valid certification in one of the following: PMP, PgMP, PfMP, MSP, MoP, Prince2
- University degree in Project Management, Computer science or equivalent
- Valid enhanced reliability Clearance
Tasks Include, but are not Limited to:
- Assess the organization's capacity/capability to undertake and successfully deliver a project in the context of the overall program or portfolio program or portfolio priorities through strategic planning
- Advise Senior Management on a range of issues affecting the organization's ability to achieve the project's business objectives
- Assist in the prioritization and assignment of projects within the program/portfolio
- Provide functional guidance to several Senior Project Managers, each responsible for an element of the project/program/portfolio and its associated team
- Meet with organizational executives to ensure all organizational (internal and external) stakeholders are committed to moving forward on the project (e.g., opportunity evaluation)
- Manage the implementation of a project/program/portfolio to identify, analyze, plan, track and control progress on a continuous basis
- Make recommendations and provide advice for improvements and assist in developing solutions and implementing recommendations (e.g., policy development and standards development)
- Prepare and present findings, status and other relevant matters
- Contribute and provide functional guidance in the development of Project Business Case (e.g., business planning and program review)
- Support the effective management of Program changes in accordance with the change management process
- Motivate the team to ensure commitment to the program's objectives
- Specify the general requirements of the project
- Develop project alternatives and identify their administrative, economic, and technical feasibility and practicality; and associated policy and organizational change requirements; o. Support the effective planning, directing, and controlling of a project team within scheduled time and cost parameters
- Produce overall project plans and obtain approval of preliminary analysis
- Update and provide briefings to upper management on progress and concerns of the project
