Our valued Public Sector client requires a Senior Project Manager to support a large modernization initiative for a departmental web-based application.


Must Have:

·        Experience working on enterprise-wide projects/programs

·        Must have one of the following certifications: PMP, Prince2

·        University degree from a Canadian University (or equivalent)

·        Valid Secret Clearance

 

Tasks Include, but are not Limited to:

-         Coordinating other Project Managers or Coordinators assigned to deliver sub project(s) of a complex project

-         Performing project planning, develop project charter and project management plans for all knowledge areas;

-         Creating, executing and maintaining project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and project demands;

-         Overseeing the development of a Project Business Case (e.g. business planning and program review)

-         Proactively identifying project issues and risks and creating successful action plans for resolving issues and mitigating risks; minimizing project exposure and risk;

-         Managing end-to-end projects, as well as project resources (budget and team);

-         Managing project plans by defining deliverables, identifying key milestones, reviewing project progress, and engaging in ongoing risk management;

-         Reviewing/analyzing other project interdependencies and requirements to ensure alignment;

-         Assisting in the prioritization and assignment of projects within the program/portfolio;

-         Producing and maintain integrated work breakdown structures (WBS) and schedules;

-         Analyzing integrated schedules to identify priorities, activities and conflicts;

-         Preparing presentations and briefing notes for project staff (including Director level and above);

-         Keeping clients informed of progress on their projects, conduct status meetings and status reports;
