Sr. QA Analyst to do database and automation testing with Python for an enterprise application rebuild for a Financial Services client

Location: Toronto
Type: Contract - 6 to 12 months
HYBRID - 2 days in office

Responsibilities:

• Plan, Build, Execute and maintain primarily manual testing and some automated E2E tests using Python and analyze results
• Develop Database queries for test data management in PostgreSQL and Oracle using PL\SQL and SQL.
• Perform code reviews and ensure the quality of the test cases.
• Participate and contribute on all team activities such as Sprint Planning, Sprint Execution, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective.

Qualifications:

• 7 years of hands-on software test development experience, including both functional and non- functional test experience within an agile cross-functional team environment
• 4+ years with any automated testing including 2+ years programming experience in Python
• 4+ years of experience in developing database queries in Oracle and/or PostgreSQL for major migrations
• 1+ year experience with AWS or any other cloud technology 
• Good understanding of Project Management and Test Management tools such as JIRA/Xray
• Good understanding of code management using GIT
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent

Must haves:
- Python
- Strong SQL Testing (complex joins amd extracts) including in Oracle
- AWS or Cloud experience
