Sr. Solution Architect to modernize enterprise oil and gas geospatial solutions

Our large oil and gas client is seeking a permanent full time employee Sr. Solution Architect to modernize enterprise oil and gas geospatial solutions.

Must-Have:

• 5+ solution architecture (architecture frameworks, IT architecture documentation and modelling) [10+ years of IT experience overall]
• 5+ years experience with Earth/GIS Applications
• Experience with Esri ArcGIS in an oil and gas setting
• Demonstrated experience architecting cloud solutions including modernization, application integration and cloud-native development
• An undergraduate degree in computer science, software engineering, MIS or business
• Experience working with agile practices

Nice-to-Have:

• Extensive knowledge and experience with any of the following: oil and gas exploration, prospecting/discovery, facility development, spatial, drilling, land management, subsurface, reservoir, production engineering or mining
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines, automation, configuration management, DevOps tools
• Training and certifications in architecting cloud solutions (Ideally Azure and/or AWS)

• Platform: ArcGIS Modernization - slowly turning on new features and integrations in phases
• Objective: Translate business objectives into optimal solutions, guide the creation and evolution of digital architectures, harness emerging technology and transform the enterprise through delivering new digital capabilities. Provide architectural direction throughout the process of planning, developing, configuring, integrating, and maintaining our technology solutions.

Location: Must be in/near Calgary as this client is in a hybrid work model coming into the office downtown 3 days/week. Relocation packages offered.
