Sr. Systems Analyst for Oil and Gas Facilities/Corporate Application Rationalization

Our energy client is seeking a Sr. Systems Analyst for Oil and Gas Facilities/Corporate Application Rationalization starting ASAP for 6 months with an opportunity to extend to 2023 year-end. 
  
Must-have:

• 8+ years overall IT work experience involved technical hands-on with solutions involving Data and Application Integration
• 2+ years direct experience authoring technical solution documents that align to existing policies, standards and roadmaps (technical  IT design and modelling)

Nice-to-have:

• College diploma or university degree in Computer Science or related field
• Depth in any of the following:
  • Data warehousing
  • Cloud technology (SAAS / PAAS / IAAS)
  • ERP
  • Geospatial data management
  • Content management
  • Metadata management
• Experience with one or more of: Abacus, Mulesoft, Kafka, Solix, Signavio, ADRM, PowerDesigner, SQL, Jira, Confluence, SAP, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Informatica, Collibra
• Training, extension experience of a formal certification in an IT architecture or solution design framework or discipline (ie. Togaf, Opengroup, or Zachman)

This role will:

• Deliver solution architecture artifacts under the guidance of Enterprise Architects (technical solution documents)
• Work with Process Owners and Process Designers to:
  • Design standard to-be processes
  • Assess application capabilities and dispositions
  • Identify systems of record for new data elements
  • Identify operational reporting and analytics requirements
• Work with system of record product owners and functional / technical teams to:
  • Design configuration changes and customizations
  • Identify application integration requirements
  • Design operational reports
  • Design data migration strategy and define data conversion requirements
  • Define system retirement strategy and data archiving requirements
  • Define reliability / redundancy requirements
• Review implementations and ensure they conform to design specifications

Location: Must live in/near Calgary as this client is in office downtown 3 days/week
